Working It Out

OK ladies I have been trolling the discussion boards and blogs on the web and have decided that it is time for me to get back to loosing this weight. I need to trim up all over but specifically my stomach!!! I genetically seem to hold this weight in my tummy area and as we all know that's not good. So I am starting back exercising! I have been home for two months (I was laid off my job) and I have been kinda in a funk and I gained back 10lbs of the 30lbs I worked so hard to loose. I was 215 went down to 184 and now I'm 194. YUP I can't bare the thought of me hitting 200 much less going over it. I will post my before, during and after pictures. I'm hoping that it will motivate me. If I post up how big I am then seeing it and knowing other will see it might be the kick in the pants I need!

Pray for me y'all. This is going to be really hard for me but I did it before ..... a loooooooong time ago and I can do it again! Right?? RIGHT!!!

I'm going walking tonight but starting tomorrow I am going to do a 20 min ab DVD and 20 on my elliptical machine. It's been too hot to walk, which is what I love to do, but I will do it at least 3x's a week for 2 miles then build myself back up to jogging. My goal is to run the Cooper River Bridge Run April 2011. That is a 7/8 mile run. That is my goal! I use to be in the military and running many, many miles was nothing. Mind you I was 19yrs old then too. =/ hahahaha

Thanks for listening! Yolei

Jennifer Hudson’s Fitness Goal? ‘To Bounce Quarters Off Her Butt!’

(People.com)

I am so impressed with her weight loss.  She looks marvelous!!!  I wish I had a personal trainer to whip my butt in shape.  That FIT is fly too!  It shows off all her hard work.  Every sit-up, leg lift, squat and lung.

Uhhh I so need to get my fashion mojo back but I know that ain't gonna happen until I get some more of this weight off.  Game-On!!

A Girls Got To Eat!

Damn it's early but rise and shine.  I awake with a new purpose and that's to get some dang coffee! Hahaha
I'm hungry so a small fruit bowl made of Apples and Oranges will do, for now.
Then my OatBran with some honey and maybe a handful of walnuts.  Yum.
I usually have it with peanut butter which is just as yummy.
I am learning how to do different things with it like adding Vanilla, Cinnamon and milk.  It's very healthy and high in fiber.  I use 1/3 cup of  oatbran and twice as much liquid.  The only place that it can be found here is at Whole Foods.  Thanks xTina for picking it up for me!  You should check her out on When Hungry Meets Healthy.

A Girls Got To Eat!

Wake Up Your Morning Appetite!!!!

Nearly one in five women skips breakfast, according to surveys. Try these tips from Susan Bowerman, RD, a nutritionist at California State Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, to break your no-nosh habit.
Divide and conquer. Start with something small, like yogurt, and eat a handful of almonds an hour or two later.
Make a fast break. When you're in a rush, grab a piece of string cheese for a dose of protein and some fruit for fiber and vitamins.
Treat yourself. Trade breakfast-prep duties with your partner to make it less of a chore.
Put it off. "If you just can't eat first thing, have an energy bar midmorning for fuel," Bowerman says. "Otherwise, you may overeat at lunch."

I've had to learn to EAT BREAKFAST.  It is the most important meal of the day!  I eat light because I just can't stomach anything heavy 1st thing in the morning.  My morning fav. is Oatmeal or OatBran because you can jazz it up anyway you want to.  So it's like eating something different everyday.  I get my fiber and fruit! Yum.  Give it a try you might like it!

What did you eat this a.m.?  Speak on it....
