Don't Ask Don't Tell
My opinion is If you know you are gay and the policy is don't ask don't tell please do not join if you are going to out yourself. You waste the military's time and money they could be using to train another soldier. I personally don't like Don't ask Don't tell but until it's changed it is the law. Now this is a school scholarship offered buy JROTC with her promise to join the military when she graduates. I find her behavior a bit deceptive. I think maybe she changed her mind. I don't know all I know is she formally gave a letter to the head of the JROTC program admitting she was gay.
Well what say you? Did she do it for the money? Didn't she realize she bit off more then she could chew?

QUESTION??If you had a friend who has been in your life off and on for about 13 yrs.
To you they are more like a sister.
For no reason given just stops talking to you, no big argument, just stops talking to you.
How would you react?
Now the thing is you have gone through this with this friend on several occasions throughout the friendship and you are always the one who extends the hand of reconciliation as far as trying to maintain the relationship. You call to see why or what happened to them to make them stop talking to you.
Do you do it again or do you leave it be? Would you call it being stubborn or just being tired?
I feel like this. If I have been there for you for many, many years through all your UPS and your DOWNS, I would expect at least a reason as to why you stopped talking to me. I guess for me I feel like I would be begging you to be "my friend" if I am the one constantly coming to you and asking "What's wrong now? or What did I do now?"
YOU KNOW.....
I am just too damn old for this. It's tiring. It shouldn't be THIS hard to be friends. RIGHT? If you are my friend the way you say you are you should just say what's on your mind and not have people wondering what they did wrong. It's not fair to them.
So when they get tired and are done with playing the game it doesn't make then less of a friend nor does it make the friendship null and void. It just means you as the 'cutter offer' may need to stop with that and be a complete friend and speak your mind. If you are having a bad week. Just say so. If you need some space. Just say so. If they did something to piss you off. JUST SAY SO!
So 'cutter offer' I say call the person you cut out and apologize. That's my opinion.

All about the money
I am sitting here thinking about where I am financially and looking over my budget which is about to get substantially smaller.
When I was let go from my previous job I received a small severance package.
I lasted about two and a half months and now I am strictly on unemployment insurance.
Now I have to figure out how to pay bills and maintain my house hold of five on a ONE person income and my weekly check.
THIS is going to be interesting.
While I was getting my severance I was paying down the credit cards.
Got a few paid off and a couple less then half left to go.

I have been staying home not riding around much to save gas too.
I have become a coupon RE-RE.
I am printing and clipping and shopping.

I have taken on a project to help someone close to me who just moved into their 1st apartment at 60yrs of age.
I am proud of her doing it on her own at this age in her life. She has always lived with her S/O's and now is doing her thing.
GO HER!!!
I love me some decorating and doing it on a budget is my forte. I except your challenge!
