What about YOUR friends???

QUESTION??

If you had a friend who has been in your life off and on for about 13 yrs.
To you they are more like a sister.
For no reason given just stops talking to you, no big argument, just stops talking to you.
How would you react?


Now the thing is you have gone through this with this friend on several occasions throughout the friendship and you are always the one who extends the hand of reconciliation as far as trying to maintain the relationship.  You call to see why or what happened to them to make them stop talking to you. 

Do you do it again or do you leave it be?  Would you call it being stubborn or just being tired?

I feel like this.  If I have been there for you for many, many years through all your UPS and your DOWNS, I would expect at least a reason as to why you stopped talking to me.  I guess for me I feel like I would be begging you to be "my friend" if I am the one constantly coming to you and asking "What's wrong now? or What did I do now?"

YOU KNOW.....

I am just too damn old for this.  It's tiring.  It shouldn't be THIS hard to be friends.  RIGHT?  If you are my friend the way you say you are you should just say what's on your mind and not have people wondering what they did wrong.  It's not fair to them.

So when they get tired and are done with playing the game it doesn't make then less of a friend nor does it make the friendship null and void.  It just means you as the 'cutter offer' may need to stop with that and be a complete friend and speak your mind.  If you are having a bad week.  Just say so.  If you need some space.  Just say so.  If they did something to piss you off.  JUST SAY SO!
So 'cutter offer' I say call the person you cut out and apologize.  That's my opinion.

Ladies Night

Ladies night out!  I have been doing this off and on with the same group of ladies since 2000.  We'll call a "Ladies Night" any day of the week when one of us is stressing out or when we just need to reconnect.  It's been awhile since I've seen them all in the same place at one time.  I am, I guess, the baby of the group cause I'm the youngest but they except with open arms.  I'm so glad we make the time in all of our crazy lives to do this.

Family Ties

As you know if your are on my Face.Book page I went to visit a old Army buddy that I haven't seen in 15yrs.  That Army buddy also happens to be my oldest daughters bio-Aunt on her DNA donors side of the family.  All in all it was a pretty good weekend.

So ignore the people.  Look at the sectional.  Yes it takes up the whole room!  I told her that ummm if she didn't want to keep it I would gladly take it off her hands. lolol She would cut me!  Love you Londa!

It started off as mass confusion because they were also moving into their new base housing.  The rest of the furniture was coming on the Monday that just passed.  I can't wait to see the house all put together.  Her taste is FA.BU.LUS!!  She is Fly by nature.  Always has been and still is!

Her hubby's family are a trip and good peoples.  They excepted her right off and made us both feel like family.  Made my heart sing to see my baby so happy!  She looked so long for that connection to that side of her and now she has it.  She is spending spring break with them getting to know them and starting bonds that I hope last a lifetime

 

 

 This brings me joy!!

This is the first time I have ever let her go off with someone other than MY family members.  So I'll be back and are bringing all my kids and hubby this time on Saturday for the house warming BBQ and to bring my daughter back home to reality.  Heck they got one more month of school then it's summertime.  Jeeeeeeesh the school year went by fast!  Looks Like I'm gonna be in GA a lot!

I must show you all the beautiful painting my good friend Julia did for me. It is going to be the first thing I hang on the wall in my new home!  She has an awesome eye for the abstract and I am a BIG fan.  Now I like to consider myself a creative person and really wanted to learn some of her techniques.  Alas that is not to be *insert SAD face here*.  She is moving back home to Brazil.  I met Julia in Dec of 2008 in a drafty warehouse and we clicked instantly.  She is the sweetest person I know and I am sad to see her go.  I have my Skype downloaded and ready to be used.  Now all I need to get is some cool headphones .... SHOPPING!

So you know I am already trying to figure out how to get my but to Brazil ... soon right!  I will have to brush up on my portuguese:

Is so proud of my friend Monica Mingo ..... Filmaker and housewife extraordinaire!!  You go girl!!  CONGRATULATIONS!!!!  This lady rocks in all ways possible.  Everything is hush hush right now and I can't wait to hear more about her film.

What about YOUR friends???

I have purged you from life because of what I call being a fake-ass. My so-called friend of 10 yrs. just stopped talking to me. Poof just like that one week we were good and the next nothing. No people this is not the first time this person has done this. She has suddenly become too busy or is caught up in some dude and I won't hear from her for months. Then after 3, 5, 7 months later I get a e-mail or phone call explaining the new drama that has befallen her life. Now I would listen and comfort her and help her threw all the craziness. Then when life is so-called good for her poof she gone and we are starting all over again. What I fine rather funny is each time she pulls a vanishing act she befriends a person she KNOWS I can't stand to be around. I guess it's supposed to make me mad or jealous. We in the beginning that shit hurt my feelings. I was mad a hell about it. She would do all kinds of things to help or be there for these heffa-cats who never meant her no good. I just didn't get it but she was my besty and I loved her like a DNA sister so when she'd come back I'd over look it. I missed her and the fun we had together.
BUT
I.AM.DONE!
I am tired of it. People outside of this friendship saw it and wondered why I kept her as a friend when she was not a true friend to me. I guess just like when you have a man you hope they change, that they mean it THIS time. I was the the girlfriend scorned. lol
We are on the outs and I truly ok with not seeing her. Now what bothers me a itty bit is the fact that she is hanging with someone she doesn't really like, like that and who ABSOLUTELY I CAN'T STAND !!!!! That is irking the be.shait.ness out of me. Why? Because I can't stand this heffa!!! Ok ok I know why do I even care. Cause the itch lives next door.
