Jesus Take the Wheel
My near death experience. OK so I wasn't as near death as I thought but hell I was scared for my life y'all. I got a call from my sister asking me for something from my little storage house in the back yard. So I go drive back there to get it, open the door all willy nilly and ZAP!!!!! Ms. Wasp stabbed me in the back.
IN MY FREAKIN BACK .... well my shoulder blade area.
When I say I was screaming and running all around my yard like a chicken with my head cut off I was. At first I thought it was a big azz spider that got me but then there it was ..... the wasp nest. So I ran back to my house left the car running in the yard and was looking to see if any of my neighbors were home. Well NOBODY was home. So I run back to the car pull out the keys and go in the house.
What you don't know is as a child and young adult I had violent reactions to bee stings so Dr's have always lumped all stinging bugs in with that HENCE my freaking out. Now back to my horror story .....
I was supposed to meet my hubby for lunch today. I called him and was all screaming and yelling on his v-mail ....... yeah way to freak him out. I decided that I was just going to drive to him and let him look at my back since I was feeling nothing but sharp pain. No Sweating. Good. No light headedness. Great. I figured I was good to go.
Boy was I wrong. As I was driving my left arm started to go numb and I was having some shortness of breath. This was not good. I was feeling sick to my stomach. I passed my Bro-in-law on the way little did I know hubby had called him to come check on me. Hubby called me and I told him I was going to be late for lunch but he was almost home. He told work he had to leave so he could get to me. MY BABY LOVES ME!!! He was coming to rescue me. We met on the side of the highway he left his car and took me to the Dr's office. She checked me out and gave me some medicine and told me to go home. She did watch me and told me if I was still experiencing the shortness of breath and tingly arm to go to the emergency room.
Well I came home took some pain meds and went to bed. I have mild swelling and I'm still sore but other then that I'm doing MUCH BETTER!!!!
I love that my hubby came to save me. I LURVE THIS MAN!!!!

Last night I attended my oldest daughters Spring Choral performance. She has been practicing after school all year long and I must say it was a pure delight. I am just so proud of her and watching her on stage I swear that it was made for her. She has SUCH a stage presence like a light on her! Yeah it's mama talking but people see it too and comment on her all the time. Who knows maybe she'll be a actress. After she finishes college of course.
Yup that's my baby. Chest thumping all up and through!!!

I love that I have a PARTNER a real life partner. Not the man that says do what say or the man than refuses to take the lead but a partner. I love my husband like crazy. Yesterday while he was off he spend his time on-line with me helping me look for a job. He knows I am getting very frustrated with the process of looking for a job. The e-mailing and filling out all these long ass applications. My baby even filled out one for me. He is being very supportive during this time.
HE.IS.EVERY.SINGLE.THING.
Yup I stole it!

Spa Me!
These last few blogs have been about me pampering myself. As women who might be mothers, work outside the home and wives I think it is especially important that we have some ME TIME. Time to relax and recharge. I like to have mini spa days. I give myself head to toe treatment. I LOVE LOVE LOVE body scrubs. I have been know to make my own but I still purchase them too. I try to get scrubs that are all natural. I do not like the scrubs with mineral oils because they clog the pores. I was in Wally yesterday and I found THIS
A fabu salt body scrub from Alba the Hawaiian scent which smells like heaven. It has sea salt, sunflower oil, grapefruit peel oil, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, kukui nut, macadamia nut nut, avacado oils, vitamin E and other oils. When I say I am in love with this product I can't stop smelling and touching myself. Haha Neither can my hubby.
Now after the salt scrub you have to moisturize the skin. So when I tell you this smells good enough to eat please believe me. I got this from Wally too and now I feel the need to go back and stock up. I absolutely love this stuff.
Shea Body Butter by Tree Hut Brazilian Nut scent is ALL.THAT! Both products are certified "all natural" and both are made in the U.S.A.
So SPA YOURSELVES ladies. You deserve it. I know I did. =)

I am all about saving money these days and .... well you all know why. So I got my eyebrows waxed yesterday. I know that costs money but I just wasn't doing a good job of it myself. While there the lady was trying to talk me into a manicure and pedicure. I looked down and well my toes/feet could use it. Not to mention my nails or lack of nails could use some sprucing up. Now I know I can do this at home easily. I have everything I need. So today that's what I'll do! I'm not going to pay $35 for something I can do for free. I surely have my way of doing it but below are some steps so you can do it at home too!
1) When starting a home manicure, remove any old polish from the nail bed. After the polish is removed, clip the nails straight across, slightly above the skin. Don’t cut the nails into points or try and shape them with cutters, it will only make them more prone to breakage.
2) Next, file nails straight across, rounding slightly on the corners. The correct term for this shape used in all the salons is called ’squoval’, square on the top, corners rounded like ovals. File from the outside to the center of the nail to prevent tearing and grinding away at the nail.
3) After filing, apply cuticle remover on the cuticles, and then soak fingers in warm soapy water for a few minutes. Avoid letting them soak long because if the nail is too saturated, it can make the nail soft, making it harder to apply polish. If nails are yellow or stained from constant use of polish, add a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide (I do this) or lemon juice to the water.
4) When the nails are done soaking, use an orangewood stick wrapped in cotton to gently push back cuticles from the nails. With cuticle nippers, trim hangnails and avoid cutting the cuticle to prevent infection. Massage hands with a hand or body scrub (I use this), and then rinse and apply hand cream (I used a body butter). Add cuticle oil to the cuticles and massage to allow the oil to soak in. After moisturizing, clean the nails of oil by using a cotton ball with polish remover to prepare nails for paint.
5) Painting the nails. Allow a few minutes to pass since removing oil from the nails so the remover has time to evaporate. Apply a base coat to all nails, starting with the pinkie finger to prevent smudges while painting. After letting the base coat dry, apply the first coat of color polish. For an even amount of polish on each nail, use three strokes of the brush, the first one down the center and then one on each side from the bottom of the nail up to the top.
6) After the first coat is dry, the final step to the manicure is applying a second coat. By painting to the tip of the nail and slightly over, it can prolong the life of the manicure and prevent chipping. Use a small brush with remover to clean up any spots where the polish got onto the skin. Apply a clear topcoat and allow nails to dry.

I LOVED THIS MOVIE!!!!
Ok so yes there is a 11 yr old child who cusses. Not as much as the media would have it seem but she is something. Big Daddy aka Nicolas Cage is sweetly phyco and that is all I can say about it. This is a kid sized Kill Bill. If you love that kind of thing.
It get a 2 thumbs and 2 toes up. For those of us who watch the comic book turned moves THIS is one to see!!

I Am Not My Hair
Chrisette Michele decided to let it all go. Could you cut it all off? I did. Not this short but I had about 1//2 inch of hair on my head. When my hair was wet you could see my scalp. Some folks were shocked that I just took the clippers myself one day and just did it. One day I had hair touching my shoulders and the next day I was bald. Well damn near close to bald. I thank God I have a small head. It's not that people hated it, well if they did they said nothing to me about it, they just were in shock. Like I cared. I was free y'all. No more curling irons, flat irons, hell even blow dryers. I love not having to worry about it. Other then coloring it. I'm not ready for the grays yet.
Back to Chrisette. I love this look on her! You can see the strength of her face. Beautiful!

This is what my house WAS going to look like. As of today I am like many in America ..... UNEMPLOYED! I am in shock! I am going to have my pitty- party. Then I'm going to get on the grind again. This is just a dream DEFERRED. I will own this!
I honestly never thought this day would happen. APPARENTLY IT'S NOT GOING TOO. I have dreamed about owning my own home ever since I got married in '95. BUT as a young couple starting out, with two babies and two sucky ass jobs it wasn't going to happen.
We have been renting for 12 yrs now, yeah I know =l LOOKS LIKE IT WILL BE A FEW MORE YEARS.
We have had a few opportunities to purchase mobile homes or modular homes and place it on the land we live on now but it never seemed to work out. Which was good because we have had some financial setbacks. Pregnancy, job loss, illness and lastly FEAR. All of these things have prevented us from moving forward. AND NOW MY CURRENT JOB LOSE IS PREVENTING US FROM MOVING FORWARD! SSHHHHEEEESH WE JUST CAN'T CATCH A BREAK!
You know my crazy behind is going to be posting pictures of the construction right? I'm straight scrap-booking this whole event. *** Speaking with a straight face*** PppppsSssT TASHA I'm gonna need your Circut ASAP!! GUESS YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT POSTAGE.
I will want to look back at it, I'm sure, because right now it's so hard to REALLY enjoy this process. Awe I'm kinda getting emotional y'all. THIS PART IS TRUE. RIGHT NOW IT IS TAKING EVERYTHING IN ME NOT TO JUST GIVE UP. I FEEL LIKE I'VE BEEN KICKED IN THE GUT! I CAN'T EVEN EXPLAIN THE DISAPPOINTMENT MY CHILDREN ARE FEELING AND LORD KNOWS THAT IS KILLING ME. WHICH IS WHY I WILL NOT GIVE UP. I MAY MISS THE TAX CREDIT BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN I STILL CAN'T GET A HOUSE IT JUST MEANS I WILL HAVE TO WAIT A LITTLE WHILE LONGER.
Speak on it....
Colour Me Excited
